Hand Thrown Pots

All items bearing the "Barbara Davidson" label or impressed mark, have been individually hand-thrown on the potter's wheel. Since 1995, they have all been made only by Barbara herself.

Nowadays these are all oven, microwave and dishwasher proof, and made in highly durable stoneware clay.

Colours and textures of glazes have changed over the years, but they are still mixed directly from the raw materials to our own recipes, giving quality and consistency. The 2 main kilns are still the originals, and are fired by electricity.

The range of pots made is still very comprehensive, and not confined to the items contained in the Price Lists! If it is round and not too large, then it can probably be made. About 70% of Barbara's work is done to order, as it is more satisfying and sensible to make exactly what the customer requires, as the range of colours and shapes keep increasing, and are impossible to keep in stock all the time.

The shop always has a good selection to choose from if presents are required immediately.

Completion time for special orders varies, and promises for specific dates are not possible, except when they are placed well in advance.
